Summary for October 25, 2015

posted Oct 25, 2015, 12:59 PM by Balvihar Teachers K1

In today’s session we introduced the meaning of alphabet “B” for Brotherhood. Sruthi and Anika, our youth Volunteers did a great job presenting and talking about Brotherhood. Your children learnt that brotherhood means being together and helping each other whether it is family, neighborhood or in community.

Anika and Sruthi talked about how Balvihar promotes brotherhood by bringing together children, teachers, volunteers to help build a community of belongingness, make friends and love each other despite being different.

We read a story about Crayons, initially each of the crayon felt the other crayon was not good enough till they started working together. It was then that they realized that each of the crayon despite their differences all had to work together to make a picture look beautiful.

Anika shared how she fought with her older sibling but now misses her older sister because she has left for college. Sruthi who has two younger siblings also shared her experience how she gets upset when they take her stuff but she knows they are very dear to her and loves them a lot. When asked about their siblings, most of the children in the class have either older or younger sibling, they shared how much they love their family and things they do together with family.

We had your children express their idea of brotherhood. Check their bags and you will get the entire story

We request you to send the completed colored Avatar and Durga devi picture so that they can earn some sticker points, very important to them.

We asked your children to show their love for their family in some way. Your children said they were going to make  “ I Love You “ card for their parents, help in the household chores or simply say “ I Love you”. See what your child does for you
