In today’s session we introduced the meaning of alphabet “A” While your children know A is for “Apple”, today they learnt that A is also for “Avatar”.  We narrated four of the ten stories from Dashavatar. They learnt some new terms such as fish means Matsya, turtle or Kurma.  They were very fascinated with  Narasimha avatar, the form of half lion-half man to destroy the demon Hiranyakashyapa. We had the whole class fully engrossed with the stories they heard.

After the story session, we gave  each a blank paper to draw and color avatars. There was fish, turtle and some even had tried half man- half lion portrait. Check what your child came up with and talk to them about what they learnt in the class.

In the last class summary we attached a picture of Dashavatar. Your child can finish coloring and bring it to the next class. This is another way to earn stickers

In the next class we will talk about significance of symbol "OM" and “Shakthi “ since in few days we will be ready to celebrate Navaratri.

I am attaching two pictures of Durga devi. Please take a print out of one of the two  and send it with your child
